Sheila Pearl is a seasoned clinical social worker, bereavement counselor and family therapist who was married for 32 years before becoming widowed. It was then she began her unexpected sexual, spiritual, sensual and magical renaissance. She is actively dating, seeking her next life partner, while also passionately engaged in her career as a relationship coach and an international speaker. Former opera singer and teacher, Sheila is a lifelong learner and gatherer of wisdom. She has earned seven bachelor degrees from the University of California at Berkeley: in English Literature, Music Performance, Speech & Drama, Religion, Philosophy, Sociology and Psychology. She completed the Certification Program with the Hebrew Union College for Cantorial Studies, having served two congregations in New Jersey and New York for over 20 years as cantor and educator. She is an ordained non-denominational minister and wedding officiant. She earned her Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from Yeshiva University's Wurzweiler School of Social Work, and was certified as a life coach by the Empowerment Training Institute, founded by David Gershon and Gail Straub, co-authors of Empowerment: The Art of Creating Your Life as You Want It. As a family therapist, she trained with Virginia Satir in family systems theory and practice. She studied with Neale Donald Walsch, serving as staff coach for the Life Skills Program for five years. Since retiring as cantor and educator in 2004, she has had a busy private practice in relationship and life transitions coaching.
