Donna Shea

Donna Shea is the founder of the Peter Pan Center for Social and Emotional Growth and a pioneer in the field of community-based social education. She holds a B.A. in Behavioral Science and has provided award-winning services and support to families of children with social and behavioral challenges since 2002.

Donna has advanced training and certifications in Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Coaching, Bullying Prevention, and Pathological Demand Avoidance.

She is also the co-author of the How to Make & Keep Friends books and workbooks. Her professional work includes:

• Speaking engagements and professional development

• Social education programs and skill-building groups

• Behavior and parenting consultations

• Parent education and support

• School observations and TEAM meeting support

• Cognitive Behavioral Coaching

Donna is the parent of two grown sons who have navigated—and continue to embrace—their neurodiversity, including ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, and Sensory Processing challenges. This lived experience informs her work and fuels her passion for helping children build friendships and social confidence, supporting parents in feeling heard and finding clear pathways to resources, and equipping educators and childcare professionals with practical strategies to scaffold social and behavioral success.
