HOWARD GIORDANO is a native New Yorker and now resides in Naples, Florida. A successful career in advertising on Madison Avenue preceded a period with The New York Racing Association (Aqueduct, Belmont and Saratoga Racetracks) as Executive Director of Marketing and TV. Later, former NYC Mayor Ed Koch appointed him President of the New York City Off-Track Betting Corporation.
Writing short fiction, Howard had many stories published in a number of literary magazines. His first full-length fiction, TRACKING TERROR, first published in late 2011 and then again in 2016, received a six-month film option from a Hollywood production company. In 2012, the Readers Favorite International Contest awarded it the Bronze Medal, finishing ahead of a number of top-of-the-line thriller authors. Daniel Silva won the Gold Medal for his "Portrait of a Spy." In early 2015, the USA Regional Excellence Book Awards gave TRACKING TERROR first prize, recognizing the book for its outstanding depiction of the novel's locale, New York City.
His next novel, THE SECOND TARGET, is a suspense-driven tale of revenge. Released in the spring of 2016, it has received a number of outstanding reviews.
Howard's third suspense/thriller, CROSSING INTO DARKNESS deals with the scourge of human trafficking and drug smuggling and was released in June, 2020.
His fourth suspense novel, THE DARK SIDE OF THE CITY, released in May 2022, again features his charismatic protagonist, Luke Rizzo, from the previous two novels. In this one, Rizzo takes on the mob in NYC.
