Elizabeth Amisu is a multi-genre author, academic, and storyteller, whose works span dystopian adventure, fantasy thrillers, literary criticism, and cultural analysis. She is the author of The Sacerdos Mysteries, a gripping dystopian fantasy series, as well as Ripe Earth, a young-adult fantasy thriller, and Gild Your Shadows, a haunting collection of short stories.
Her award-winning fiction has earned critical acclaim, with The Bestseller winning the Silverwood Publishing ‘Beat the Author’ competition (2013) and We Burn Daylight securing second prize at the Southend Literary Book Festival (2010).
Beyond fiction, Elizabeth is the author of the landmark academic textbook, The Dangerous Philosophies of Michael Jackson: His Music, His Persona, and His Artistic Afterlife (Bloomsbury), an in-depth exploration of Jackson’s artistry and cultural legacy, archived at the British Library. She also co-hosts the widely subscribed podcast Michael Jackson’s Dream Lives On: An Academic Conversation and co-founded The Journal of Michael Jackson Academic Studies, where she serves as editor.
With an MA in Early Modern English Literature from King’s College London and over a decade’s years of experience teaching English, Creative Writing, and Film, Elizabeth is deeply passionate about mentorship, storytelling, and literary scholarship.
When she’s not writing, researching, or teaching, she can be found crafting immersive worlds, exploring the supernatural in literature, and contributing to the vibrant world of fanfiction.
