Heather lives on the beautiful west coast of Scotland with her husband and twin daughters, although she is originally from Lancashire. Author of over eighty books, she is a hybrid author, both self published and traditionally published with the fantastic Boldwood Books. Heather enjoys writing in a variety of genres, primarily crime, historical and gothic. Martina Cole and Roberta Kray have inspired her gangland books. Daphne Du Maurier, Shirley Jackson, the Brontes, MR James, Anne Rice, Edgar Allan Poe and Algernon Blackwood inspire her gothic work.

Heather loves to explore the darker side of human nature but love and loyalty are at the very heart of her work. She also loves to move and inspire people with her books.
