Jackie Capers Brown

Jackie Capers-Brown’s journey began in Columbia, South Carolina, where she was raised alongside nine siblings by parents who instilled dignity, discipline, and pride in one’s work. Long before she had language for it, Jackie was living what she now teaches as Start With WHO™—leading from identity before title.

She began her career as a housekeeper at the Columbia Marriott Hotel, where her excellence led to an early promotion and the guiding belief that would shape her leadership: “I can serve my way to greatness.” That conviction fueled a decade-long rise through Marriott’s management ranks, culminating in a General Manager role at the Fairfield Inn by Marriott in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Following the unexpected loss of her teenage son, Jackie’s leadership deepened in clarity, compassion, and conviction. Anchored in faith and intuitive wisdom, she led her team to multiple #1 customer service awards while developing future General Managers—proof that people leadership begins from within.

Today, Jackie is the Founder and CEO of Be Uncommon with Jackie B Intl, where she serves women, teams, and leaders through an identity-first approach that cultivates the Self-Leadership Edge™. Through her books, speaking, and training, Jackie helps others lead from alignment, trust their inner authority, and create uncommon success—starting not with what they do, but with who they choose to be.
