James Edgar Cherry III

I grew up in multiple countries and U.S. cities.

As far as early influence goes, dad read science fiction and took me to flying saucer movies. I took English classes at the University of San Francisco. Then moved my interests to art school.

As an illustrator in New York, I worked for clients including MTV, Heavy Metal and GQ magazines, along with St. Martin's and Harper & Row book publishers. My work included album covers, a Sunset Strip billboard, animations for cable networks, and newspaper work.

Then I turned to writing, having done so nearly exclusively for several years. For my own reading, I prefer English novels that predict the future, so much so, I've written one titled "2048: A Diary."

I currently live in Los Angeles, California.
