Rafael Saura

Rafael Saura, was born in 1956 in Ferrol, Spain. In 2002 he was awarded second prize of the Alfonso X El Sabio Historic Novel Award, with his first novel, Huir Del Aire. In 2006, he published La Sombre de la Luna, another historic novel, in 2011 Vientos de Naufragio was released, with a seafaring theme, and in 2013, Rafael published a sociological essay entitled El Paradigma, or “The Paradigm”. All the above titles are available in bookshops in paperback format. A sixth book, entitled El Último Ermitaño de Caaveiro, is featured alongside Vientos de Naufragio, El Trigo de los Asteroides and La Sombra de la Luna as an e-book in Amazon’s Spanish-language catalog. Saura has also worked for years as an opinion columnist for the newspaper El Diario de Ferrol, as well as for the digital newspaper Ferrol360.
