Debra L Townsend

Debra Townsend is an award-winning writer from northern Michigan. From her previously published book about parenting a child with Asperger’s Syndrome, Raising A Dragon; essay The Magic Peanut published in The Healing Journal; and journalism articles, she writes with a voice determined to live outside barriers.

Debra graduated Phi Theta Kappa from Northwestern MI College with a degree in Liberal Arts with an emphasis of journalism and photography.

A mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother of four, she spends her time writing, kayaking, and traveling through life with gusto. She carries a pen, her camera, and a sense of humor with her at all times.
