Jonathan Crook

On the death of an Uncle, I was presented with a file of research that he had conducted into an ancestor who had been a solider in the Napoleonic period. I took the decision to continue the research and with help received from various people like the RWF Museum and the Author Gareth Glover, I decided to write this book. Having spent some time in the Army and in the Infantry, I could empathise with the individual privations and challenges, but also was able to gain an understanding of how battles were fought at the time.
