Nat Burns is the author of 22 novels with 5 publishers. Her career has included being a columnist, copy writer, reporter and managing editor.
She is the recipient of one Golden Crown Literary Award and twice was voted a finalist.
In 2011, she was honored with an Alice B. Lavender Certificate for her debut novel. In 2024 she was presented with the Alice B. Readers Award for her body of work.
Her stories won first place in the Virginia Writing Club contest and third place in a state competition. As a reporter she won two Virginia Press Association awards and honors from magazines.
Nat taught journalism and creative writing at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts Writers in Virginia program and she has edited for publishers/authors and medical journals, editing more than a hundred fiction/non-fiction books.
Nat is a member of the Golden Crown Literary Society, the Petroglyph Guild and Romance Writers of America. She is a lifetime member of Southwest Writers and lives in New Mexico.
