G.M. Whitley

Guang Ming Whitley is a civic leader, speaker, author, and advocate for building strong communities. After eight years in public office, including two years of service as Mayor Pro Tempore of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, she now works in business development by day and writes by night. Her works, both fiction and nonfiction, bridge policy, culture, and lived experience to reimagine how we support one another. Her TEDx talk focuses on how the ancient tradition of Chinese postpartum recovery can inform modern American maternal care.
