Mark Hickford

Mark Hickford is a New Zealand-based historian, legal historian, public law specialist and barrister. Most recently, he was the Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean of Law (2015-2021) and subsequently the Pro Vice-Chancellor of Government, Law and Business (2021-2023) at Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand. He has worked in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet in New Zealand as advisor (legal and justice) to the Prime Minister and as a Crown Counsel, along with having served in other senior public service roles.
