I am extremely lucky and have been able to enjoy all my intersts over the years as they melded with one another naturally. I love flying, painting and writing, so of course I create Aviation Art and write books on aviation. Being an inveterate plastic model kit builder (something which my generation participated in from the early 1950s on) I also find myself writing about the world of plastic. Hey,one is never to old to enjoy the model building hobby!
I have gotten to fly around the world and North America. I got my pilot's license at age 17 flying at our local strip in Southern California. By age 30 I was in the left seat and in chrge of a $65 million dollar refueling aircraft for the Air Force: the KC-10. I have flown for American Airlines since 1986, medically retiring in 2000. I now have the time to paint, write and build those models!
Flying is man's greatest achievement, and I hope that I am giving you a glimpse of what it's like to be a part of it all. Thank you and enjoy my work.
