Mike Jones

Michael Jones is a native of west central New Mexico. After a decade as a successful Albuquerque radio personality, he earned his BA in Theater in 1976, followed by an MA in Small Group Communication and Paralinguistics the following year, both at the University of New Mexico. It was during his college experience that he began writing for the stage and electronic media.

He continued his career in broadcasting, advertising and marketing for another 25 years (winning 19 New Mexico Advertising Federation "Addy" awards for media writing and radio/TV production along the way), all the while writing a number of dramatic and comedy scripts for radio, television, film and live theater.

In 1993, Michael arrived in Waco, Texas to begin a second career as writer and producer of student recruitment and college marketing videos, as well as developing curricula for interactive and multimedia education programs for Texas State Technical College Waco.

He has written two "technical careers" books for TSTC Publishing--the first a complete student guide for those interested in pursuing careers in Wind Energy Technology, published the summer of 2010, and a second volume exploring career opportunities in Graphic Design, which is to be released in the spring of 2012. Michael has also provided the narration for an audio book edition of a collection of essays entitled Lust, Violence, Religion: Life in Historic of Waco.
