John F. Watson

Hello, everyone. My name is John Watson and I entered the writing world quite late in life. However, on retirement, I sat A level English Language and Lit, and this gave me the confidence to tackle my first novel, which, in all honesty, I thought would be my only book. But the characters became so strong in my story, I could not let them go, so, out in the North York moors, the Ruth Brennan trilogy became a reality for me.

Born in `43, I am lucky enough that the sun still continues to rise in my life and I try to make the most of it by sculpting stone, playing table tennis and bowls. I find that competition still gives me a buzz.

The writing process and publishing I found a steep, learning curve but a local writing group saw me through the most difficult process. I now look to the future as my next book will be written in a completely different genre. Unexplained hauntings, manifestations and exorcisms. More on this later.
