Richard L. Rotelli, a retired Mechanical Engineer, enjoys the challenges involved in writing true life biographies. Born in Framingham, MA in 1934, he graduated from Framingham High School in 1952. He got to know a fascinating man, a former Texas cowboy named Floyd Walser, who was paralyzed at a young age. Richard's father (Richie) provided mobility aids such as a motorized chair for Floyd back in 1948 before such devices were commonly available. Richard graduated from WPI in 1956 and had a successful career as a Mechanical Engineer with companies in the high-tech aerospace field as well as commercial businesses. Once he had retired he knew it was time to capture the story of Floyd and Richie in his first published book.
A few years later, he met Father Ron Lawson and once he learned of his fascinating life, he knew that would become a book also.
He lives with his wife, Patricia, in Massachusetts. They have four children, seven grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.
He created the music that accompanies the slideshows on his books' website.
