Jill McCabe Johnson is the author of the poetry books Tangled in Vow & Beseech (MoonPath, 2024), finalist in the Sally Albiso and Wheelbarrow Books poetry prizes, Revolutions We'd Hoped We'd Outgrown (2017), shortlisted for the Jane's Stories Press Foundation Award in Women's Literature, and Diary of the One Swelling Sea (2013), winner of the Nautilus Silver Award in Poetry, plus the poetry chapbook, Pendulum (2016), finalist in the Rane Arroyo Award from Seven Kitchens' Press, and the nonfiction chapbook Borderlines (2015) from Sweet Literary. Jill holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Pacific Lutheran University and a PhD in English from the University of Nebraska—Lincoln. Honors include support from the National Endowment for the Humanities, Artist Trust, and Hedgebrook. Jill is editor-in-chief of Wandering Aengus Press and its imprint, Trail to Table Press. She spends her free time writing, hiking, and in close observation of the natural world.
