In addition to writing, photography and designing book covers, Kimberly enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and all aspects of design. She also has a heart for Jesus. She lives in a small town, in the western North Carolina mountains with her cats and husband of over thirty years.

She has been an animal lover since childhood, but as a child, she was never allowed to have a cat. Shortly after she married, she brought home a little fluff-ball they named Skeamer, then Tyler and Trinity who would become the inspiration for her first book.
