M. S. Lyons

M.S.Lyons was born in 1947 in Preston, Lancashire. She was the third of what was to be a family of five girls and one boy. Her mother was from Sheffield in Yorkshire, and her father from Stepney,now known as Tower Hamlets, in East End London. After the war,Father worked in the civil service;the family relocated from the north to south east England, when Father was promoted,1953.

In 1958 the author qualified for a stipendium place at a dance and drama school in Picadilly, London, The Arts Educational. The following five years were filled with hard training and fun.The author won prestigeous prizes in Drama and Art. She also wrote well in her literature classes. With an awakening intellect, M.S.lyons was eager to go to a grammar school. After failing entrance to two drama schools at 17 she decided to do a secretarial course at Kingston technical college where she learnt to handle a typewriter. She knew in her heart of hearts that it was writing she wanted to do. She met and married a Swede and became a mother of two; she was a preschool teacher in Sweden for 40 years. At last, 2011 saw the birth of "Excerpts from the Life and Times of Tara Malone" to be followed in 2013 by its sequel.
