Charles E. Bamford Associate Professor of Strategy & Entrepreneurship

I am the Managing Partner of a Strategy Consulting Firm based in Sarasota, FL. I'm also an Adjunct Professor of Strategy at Duke University (Fuqua) where I teach Strategy Implementation in the EMBA & MBA programs.

I worked in industry for 12 years (Primarily in M&A) prior to pursuing my Ph.D. I've been a professor at Texas Christian University, University of Richmond, University of Notre Dame and Tulane University among others. I left full-time academia (and my tenured Professor position) in 2013 to run my consulting business full-time. Over the past 25 years I have been honored with 22 Professor of the Year awards including 12 Executive MBA Professor of the Year Awards. I was named a Noble Foundation Fellow in Teaching Excellence and a Poets & Quants Favorite EMBA Professor.

My writing interests span three different areas: Strategy / Entrepreneurship / Fiction Novels

I grew up in Washington, D.C. and learned the city well. My Novel "Some Things are Never Forgiven" is the first book in a series I hope to write that were inspired by my grandfather and his GREAT story telling capability.
