We all love a good story, and I'm no different than anybody else when it comes to getting lost in a good book, movie or song. It started for me when I was a small boy. I tried my hand at creating characters that moved my imagination to a flow state and I became hooked on writing my thoughts.

A few years later I wrote my stories in song. That was quite satisfying, but too fractured for complex feelings and situations. I had more to say than a play on key words and repetitive chorus.

After acting in a few films, I knew that playing a part in the story was great but I still really wanted to tell my own stories. Storytelling became a little more complex when I added screenwriting to the mix. More than once I had been told by studios that my screen treatments and screenplays were a little too heavy in description and visuals to stay within a motion picture timeframe and I needed to go back and strip it down to a workable size.

I still write oversized screen drafts and I manage to tell a story or two for friendly audiences around the country at storytelling festivals, and I still take an active role as an actor occasionally.

People have asked for years why I had never written a book. I finally took the question seriously and now I can add Author to my life of wonderful adventure.
