Graham Pryor

Graham’s most recent book, The Epiphany Quartet (April 2024), comprises four standalone tales built upon the theme of revelation. The first story is firmly positioned during the Feast of Epiphany, and sees a priest taking an interstellar journey to discover God’s home base in the universe. Discovery is the driving theme in the second tale, when a young man searches for his lost first love, whilst the third tale explores a rekindling of lost youth. The final episode of ‘Quartet’ was inspired by the work of William Faulkner, and follows the philosophical escape into freedom of a young female slave.

His previous work, Cerberus – A World Gone To The Dogs, written in 2023 and released in January 2024, takes an unusual step into science fiction. With the Earth rid of the human species, the Canidae become the dominant family of species, gifted speech and a higher consciousness by the aliens who come to cleanse the world of homo sapiens. But this story of Garth, a great mastiff rescued from the cruelty of an animal research laboratory, reveals a whole new thread of humanity that exists within the world of the canids.

Cerberus was reissued in 2026 with a new cover, and can be found here on Amazon.

Cerberus represents one genre amongst many in Graham’s eclectic portfolio of novels. Immediately preceding Cerberus, Man With A Gun exposes the underbelly of life in a Scottish coastal village, where smuggling and private militia provide a challenge for the inheritor of the eponymic gun. His other recent books cover the war for Scottish independence (Alba Regained), the irreverent adventures of a small-time crook turned policeman (Pig), and the sometimes extraordinary life of an ordinary man (To Be Frank), told in seven episodes from teenage through to old age. In all of Graham's books you will find humour, mystery, adventure, political reflection, colourful and believable characters, and often magic. Reader reviews are always welcome.
