Veronica Hill

Veronica Hill, an award-winning travel editor and journalist, was born and raised in California. As host of the YouTube series, "California Travel Tips," and owner of CaliforniaTravelExpert.com, Veronica loves sharing her favorite things to do in the state — from popular attractions to hidden gems.

After spending 15 years as Travel Editor/Writer/Photographer at the Daily Press, Veronica went solo in 2008 to start her own travel guides. Her "California Travel Tips" series won YouTube's January "On the Rise" competition, and now has more than 11,000 subscribers and 12 million video views.

In 2011, she launched her California Essential Guide and Disneyland Essential Guide apps for iPad/iPhone and Android with Sutro Media.

During the early 1990s, Veronica was the LA Assignment Editor for US Weekly, covering the celebrity scene in LA, Aspen, Hawaii and Mexico. Her writing has appeared in Rolling Stone, Seventeen and Food & Wine magaziness, along with news services such as the Associated Press, Orange County Register, Knight-Ridder Tribune, and Freedom News Service. In 2011, she edited "The Meghan Method" by Meghan Carter (Gem Multimedia).
