Hadassah Pomeroy was born in Tel-Aviv, Israel. She served with the Israeli Air Force for two years, and later while living in Singapore she worked as a free-lance interpreter and translator. Fluent in five languages, Hadassah taught Hebrew and English.
Accompanied by an anthropologist doctor and a cameraman, she navigated up the mighty river Amazon in an old tug boat. This was a once in a lifetime experience, involving extensive contacts and meetings with the South American Indians.
Some time was spent with the four foot pygmies in the Ituri Forest of the Belgian Congo. She hunted with them, not for sport but for survival. She found them to be a thrilling people.
In addition she had an exciting time living with the Bushmen of the Kalahari Desert.
In Australia she has composed ballads and a light operetta. She has also written several short stories and a play (as yet unpublished). She lives in Perth Western Australia with her husband and her three children.
