Paul Bryant

Dr Paul Bryant is a London, England born Fire Strategist and Author. He started his career in the 1980s with the Fire Insurers Organisation "Fire Offices' Committee" . He was offered the job after a fellow fire engineer, Colin Todd , left to form his own consultancy. He then moved on with the Loss Prevention Council (LPC) where he helped write many insurance and British Standards including the scheme for fire detection and alarm system installers - LPS1014.

He was Head of Fire Engineering for London Underground and oversaw the audit role for their "Section 12" project which covered the installation of passive and active fire protection systems for their approx 115 sub-surface stations. He then formed Kingfell in 1995 and turned it from a table top business to one that grew to over £5m turnover in just a few years. During this time he was a British Standard Chairman and authored both BS 7974 - PD4 and BS PAS 911.

In more recent years, he spent some time in Tampa and Key West Florida, where he went into the bar and restaurant business for a year or so before re-starting his fire interest in 2015. He formed Fire Cubed LLP with Dr Nicole Hoffmann and Tony Hanley.

He is known for his passion for fire strategies and methods to "picture them" which he developed from the 1990s. He was voted 5th most influential person in fire safety in 2018 by Intersec Global.

Paul is a chartered engineer, master of business administration and more recently attained a doctorate in Lodz, Poland by their faculty of Civil Engineering.

Paul is a father of two daughters, Ruby and Poppy. He currently resides in Sitges near Barcelona but often travels to the UK (Covid permitting).
