Jayaram K. Udupa

Jayaram K. Udupa, PhD, has 34 years of experience in developing the basic theory, algorithms, and large software systems for image processing, 3D visualization, and image analysis, and in utilizing these in over 15 medical application areas. He has published 160 journal papers, 170 full conference papers, two books, about 25 book chapters, given over 260 invited talks worldwide, and trained nearly 50 Ph.D. students and post-doctoral fellows. He is a Professor of Radiological Sciences and the Chief of the Medical Image Processing Group, Department of Radiology, at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.
