Sheng-Shih Lin

Sheng-Shih Lin went to the United States from Taiwan when she was thirteen with her family. She attended university in the U.S. and graduated with a prize in creative writing. She started working on this novel when she was in college. The first few chapters of the novel were published by the campus literary magazine. The novel is loosely based on her mother’s childhood.
