Jan M. Edwards

Jan, the author is the eldest of six children, born into a poor family in West Virginia where coal mining was the main source of income. Determined to succeed, she moved to Washington, DC when she was only eighteen years old. There, she also met and married her husband, Eddie. He too, was from humble beginnings as the eldest son of a poor farming family with seven children. Both set their sights on greater things and have achieved much in over 51 years of marriage. Jan worked her way up from the typing pool at American Express to become the Executive Assistant for the Senior Vice President/CEO of the Greensboro, North Carolina Card Center.

Now retired and living in Southwest Florida, Jan and Eddie are enjoying their fruits of their labors entertaining friends, boating, and visits from their two boys and their families. At sixty-five, Jan began her next career as an author and published her first novel a short time later. Shadows of Love is her second work, and she is already working on her next book.
