Charles E. Jordan Jr.

Charles E. Jordan Jr. was born on January 25, 1985 to Charles and Danny Jordan in Kankakee, Illinois. He is the youngest of three children. Since Charles was a young child, he has been vibrant and inspiring. He has always been willing to lend a helping hand. While growing up Charles was very active in sports. His father started him off early in Pop-Warner football, and he showed great talents on the grid iron. Charles played football from the age of 6 to 19, which a total of 13 years.

However, there was something more noticeable about Charles than his athletic abilities. Many people could sense the hand of God working in Charles’ life at an early age. In fact, while Charles was just a few years old his grandfather, Lee V. Jordan, called Charles’ father and told him that God had shown him that Charles Jr. would be a minister of the gospel. Even Charles’ friends and teammates sensed that he was different and born to be a leader, because he has always been willing to set an example. During his senior year of high school, Charles was chosen as team captain by his coaches and teammates.

Charles knew that he had a call on his life since he was a young teen, but he refused to face the music and hearken to the voice of God. Nevertheless, one day in May of 2007 while Charles was working he heard the voice of God speak to him so clearly. After such a strong conviction and call, Charles accepted the call of God that was on his life. On July 22, 2007, Charles preached his embarkation sermon and every since that day he has experienced liberty and a peace that surpasses the understanding of mankind.

Charles Jordan is now an associate minister at St. Paul M.B. Church in Starkville, Mississippi and Columbus, Mississippi. He is under the great leadership of Pastor John F. Johnson. Charles has now been preaching and teaching the gospel for four years. He is very passionate about ministering to the lost and encouraging people in their time of troubles. Charles is currently a senior at Mississippi State University, where he is studying Information Technology Services. He is the originator of the Facebook group "Getting in the Word," and he is also the president of the evangelistic ministry at St. Paul M.B. Church. Charles considers himself very family oriented and loves to spend time with his wife, Allishia, and their three children, Jayla, Javius, and Jaquez. Having a family along with being active at his church has given him a unique perception on ministry. Charles and his family currently reside in Starkville, Mississippi, home of the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
