Calvin M. Hooper

Bishop Calvin Hooper is the Founder, along with his wife, Pastor Valerie, of the non-denominational Household of Faith Christian Fellowship Church, Inc. A native of Wilmington, North Carolina, he accepted the call to ministry in 1991 and has served in various capacities in ministry since that time.

He is a gifted servant leader with a strong desire to teach God's people how to apply the Word of God to their everyday lives. His greatest passion is winning souls for Christ and training them to do the same. Bishop Hooper is an accomplished author. He is the author of three books that have impacted lives around the world and has many more that he will write. Bishop Hooper along with his wife Pastor Valerie Hooper, are also the founders of Living Faith Publications.

Bishop Hooper proudly served in the United States Army for 8 years where he attained the rank of Staff Sergeant in the field of Communications. He was responsible for training and leading subordinates and other leaders while consistently setting a standard of excellence for them to follow. He served in Desert Storm, earned several military awards, and attended leadership development training to hone his leadership skills. After a period of distinguished service he was Honorably Discharged from the military in 1993.

Bishop Hooper earned a Bachelor of Biblical Studies degree from Midwest College of Theology, and he continued on to receive the Master of Theology degree from Midwest Theological University. He plans to complete his Doctorate in Theology as well.

The church is non-denominational, but Bishop Hooper was inducted into the Association of Independent Ministries (AIM) under the leadership of Bishop I.V. & Pastor Bridget Hilliard of Houston, TX. He is a graduate of the Pastoral Executive Administrative Skills Institute, a recipient of three AIM Literary Awards, and is ordained by Bishop I.V. Hilliard.

The More Like Him Radio Ministry is an outreach started by Bishop Hooper in 2014 and heard by thousands weekly. The broadcast features life changing sermons from Bishop Calvin & Pastor Valerie Hooper, as well as other ministers under their leadership. The broadcast is currently heard on stations in Kansas, Missouri, California and Florida and plans to expand nationally to all stations of the Wilkins Radio Network. They can also be heard on Faith Alive Radio on the IHeart radio and TuneIn apps, and they stream services live around the world every Sunday at www.thehouseonline.org

Bishop Hooper is a devoted husband of over 20 years to Valerie and father of five children. They reside in Round Rock, TX.
