I've had a passion for food and wine my entire adult life. As owner/winemaker for Paso Robles based Pretty-Smith Vineyards & Winery I have many opportunities to enjoy some of the best culinary experiences available. The Paso Robles area is home to over 200 wineries, wonderful restaurants and has a climate that is ideal for producing almost every food imaginable.

I began my writing career as a freelance writer for local wine & food publications including Vine Times Magazine, Wine Country this Month, Paso Robles Press, VINO Magazine and North County Life. While several of my early assignments were to cover the inside story about a winery or winemaker, I have recently been concentrating more on food & wine pairing topics with most features including a recipe.

Experimenting with food and wine combinations to find those with the WOW factor is what I do for fun. In my first book titled "Eat this with Paso Robles Wine" I have shared over 130 recipes, 100s of wine pairings, 20 menus each featuring a local winery and a large number of colorful images.
