Jody Rathgeb

JODY RATHGEB is a writer and editor whose work has appeared in publications including Times of the Islands and the Richmond Times-Dispatch. Her first book, Fish-Eye Lens, introduces readers to life on the fictitious island of East Taino, where a documentary film crew plans to report how a small group of ex-pats and locals rooted out a greedy developer.

Jody moved to North Caicos in 2003. While living there she began Fish-Eye Lens. She felt she had finally realized the purpose of her life, living on an island and writing about its life and people. The novel led to other fiction writing, and although she no longer lives full-time on North Caicos, the combination of living there and writing about island life continues to be the essence of what she does and why.
