Matthew Hartsfield

Matthew Hartsfield is the Lead Pastor of Bay Hope Church in Lutz, Florida. He has served at Bay Hope since 1993. Matthew graduated from Nova Southeastern University in 1984 with a B.S. in Psychology. He earned a Master of Divinity from Emory University in 1987. He served as Associate Pastor at Southside United Methodist Church in Jacksonville, Florida from 1987 to 1989. He then served as Senior Pastor at First United Methodist Church of Lake Alfred, Florida from 1989 to 1993.

Matthew is a frequent conference and retreat speaker. Matthew's passion has always been to help people connect in meaningful and life-changing ways to God's Word. He helps the Bible come alive in people's minds and hearts

Matthew is married to Maisie and they have two grown daughters, Sarah and Jill, and a granddaughter, Joey.
