Brad got his start growing food in college in a small vegetable garden at The Homestead, an experiential living center at Denison University. His interest piqued, he went on to apprentice on organic farms at Stratford and Crown Point Ecology Centers in Ohio. A few seasons of farming brought him to the realization that growing food would be his life's vocation. After serving as the CSA manager at Village Acres Farm in Pennsylvania for several years, he moved to Seattle to co-found the Seattle Urban Farm Company, a business that designs, installs, and maintains edible gardens for residential and commercial customers. He's been helping people build and care for their urban farms ever since. On weekends, Brad keeps busy by teaching classes on organic gardening and urban chicken care, and learning Jethro Tull songs on the guitar.
