Larry Parr

Larry Parr's long writing career began as a television script writer. In more than 20 years of writing for American, British, French, Spanish and Japanese TV, Larry wrote and/or story edited more than 350 half hours of television, everything from SMURFS to SPIDER-MAN and THE X-MEN.

Today he has changed course and is writing mainstream mystery suspense novels aimed at the adult market. His new series is the fast-paced John Stauber and Linda Lavaque Murder Mysteries, published by Blue Oak Books. These books are set in the evocative environs of Duluth, Minnesota where he lived for many years. While the characters are focused on solving murders, the series is unusual because some elements of science fiction are woven into its modern day detective framework.
