"Irving William Salan has been an avid book reader since the age of 10, when his aunt sent him a bundle of books as a present. It was love at first sight. Since then, Salan has read anything he could get his hands on.
"Now introducing his hero, Chris Thompkins, to readers everywhere, Salan brings his own style and voice to what he hopes will be another generation of book lovers, just like that young boy with his box of books all those years ago."
That's the author's bio on the back of my CreateSpace version of Dilator. I have always wanted to be an author, and one day I just sat down and watched the cheap pen in my hand start to write this amazing story; at least, that's how it felt. I kept on wanting to know what was going to happen next, forgetting that I was the one dictating the flow of the story.
For those of you who enjoy following along with Chris Thompkins and his friends, you should be happy to hear that Dilator is the first in a series of AT LEAST five novels. I say at least because I hope and suspect that Chris will manage to find himself in further hot water.
And, don't dispair fans of other genres. I have a sci-fi series in the works that I am calling the Christwar Saga; a fantasy series a la Tolkein, D&D, Narnia and the like; many stand alone stories ranging from military/politcal intrigue, to espionage, to romance, to sci-fi, and everything in between. To say that I.W. Salan is not a one-trick pony is an understatement.
So, Dear Readers, stick around and stay tuned, enjoy Dilator and every other book you can get your hands and eyes on, and I will do my best to get these stories out to you as fast as I can.
Thank you,
Irving William Salan
