James R. Gapinski

James R. Gapinski (they/them) is the author of The Museum of Future Mistakes (winner of the BOA Short Fiction Prize) and Edge of the Known Bus Line (winner of the Etchings Press Novella Prize and named to Kirkus Reviews’ Best Books of 2018). James is also the author of three chapbooks: The Last Dinosaurs of Portland, Fruit Rot, and Messiah Tortoise. Their short fiction has appeared in Heavy Feather Review, Monkeybicycle, SmokeLong Quarterly, Variant Literature, and elsewhere.
