Sonia Michelson

Against all odds, with a new language and culture facing her, Sonia Saeta Michelson picked up from her comfortable life in Los Angeles, California, packed up her boxes, said goodbye to dear friends and relatives and boarded the plane with her Israeli daughter bound for Israel in 2005. Her book, "Home At Last: My First Year In Israel" tells about her first year’s adventures in Ofra, Israel as told through the letters she wrote back to relatives, friends and students in the United States.

Sonia is the author of a critically acclaimed original method for teaching young children New Dimensions in Classical Guitar for Children. She has also published Easy Classic Guitar Solos for Children and Young Beginner’s First Repertoire for Classical Guitar. She established the Michelson Classic Guitar Studio in Chicago and in Los Angeles.

From her home in Ofra, Israel Sonia continues to teach both classical guitar and English.

Her latest book is "Wise Women, Wise Words".
