Danny W. Campbell

Danny Campbell grew up in the small town of Meeker, located in the Rocky Mountains of northwestern Colorado. During the summers, he and his dad would fish for trout in the White River or the alpine lakes in the surrounding high country; as hunting season geared up in mid-October, the pair went on their annual deer and elk hunt, always filling the family deep freeze.

Taught by his parents to value family and a good work ethic, Danny served his country overseas and worked hard after his return to support himself and his loved ones. After retirement in 2005, he moved to Delta, Colorado, living near his best friend and constant companion, Mary Hartwig. A Wet Ass and a Hungry Gut is his first book, and he hopes to continue writing stories about the high country around Meeker and the many adventures and experiences it offers.
