Geordan Hammond

Geordan Hammond is Director of the Manchester Wesley Research Centre and Senior Lecturer in Church History and Wesley Studies at Nazarene Theological College (Manchester, UK). He is co-editor of Wesley and Methodist Studies and Studies in the Holiness and Pentecostal Movements. He is an Honorary Research Fellow of The University of Manchester and Australasian Centre for Wesleyan Research, and a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society. He serves as Vice-President of Methodist-related Theological Schools in Europe, is on the editorial board of Methodist Review, and the committees of the Church of England Record Society, and Wesleyan Studies Group of the American Academy of Religion. His research is in modern church history and historical theology, in particular, Wesley Studies, eighteenth-century Methodism, and the Church of England in the eighteenth century.
