Cheryl Campbell

Cheryl is an electrical engineer, serial small business owner, and expert carpenter. She currently resides in Boca Raton FL and is President of Hythe Condominium Association within Century Village West. She cares deeply about preserving the quality of life in her "village", and ensuring we can all age in place.

After graduating from Clemson University, and then University of Virginia for her Masters degree, as a General Electric Fellow, she moved to Washington D.C. She spent 18 years in with TRW Space & Defense (now Northrop Grumman) in the design of ground and satellite-based signal processing systems for advanced reconnaissance applications. In 1999 she formed her own business, continuing to provide encrypted secure communications and processing services for another decade.

In 2003, Ms. Campbell fulfilled her love of Victorian architecture, having been so inspired by her surroundings in Dupont Circle, in Washington, DC. She founded Urban Revivals LLC, which focused on specialty upgrades for homes circa 1880 - 1910. Her workmanship and techniques in ebonizing, art tile restoration, faux finishes, and gilding were featured in the Washington Post, Washington Times, Washingtonian magazine, and PaintPro magazine from 2003-2010.

Her work restoring historic staircases led to the first stairway gates being built in 2003. Those gates in Washington DC were so popular that her next business - Gates2U - was born. Gates2U has shipped thousands of gates to the US and Canada since 2003 in six different styles, including outdoor deck gates, to homeowners and commercial businesses. Ms. Campbell wrote the design and ordering software that made that business possible, by letting consumers visualize and create their own custom gate online. That business remains active to today.
