WHERE THE LOST THINGS GO: This is my first published book. I actually wrote the book in June 2008, but the process of publishing was so overwhelming that it just sat in waiting. On February 19, 2011, a friend was telling me about a very emotionally touching book, "Love You Forever". She let me borrow the book to read it. As soon as I saw the illustrations, I knew and hoped that this woman would illustrate my book. I went home that day and emailed my manuscript to Sheila McGraw, who is famous in her own right. She said she could envision everything and her answer was yes, she would do the illustrations. It was quite the process to completion but all worth the effort. The book went live on December 3, 2011. I am learning, as people are buying my book, that there are many writers out there who need to take a chance, email a favorite author or illustrator and follow their dream of becoming a published author. I was blessed to have connected with Sheila as she was so helpful and supportive in helping me reach my first star.
