A native of Carolina Beach, NC, Rebecca Baggett's first attempts at verse were written in No. 2 pencil on fat-lined notebook paper. Although she now prefers bold black pen and yellow legal pads for her first drafts, she still remembers fondly her grip on that No. 2 pencil Rebecca Baggett has published four chapbook collections, and her poems appear frequently in journals and anthologies, with recent work in The Sun, Sugar House Review, Poetry East, and The Southern Review. A former academic advisor for the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Georgia, she lives in Athens, GA, where she reads, gardens, and imagines all the places she will travel when that is again an option.
