C.M. Reber

My name is Christine Marie Reber--AKA C.M. Reber. This past year has been truly amazing, as I have finally published my debut fantasy novel for young adults, "Chosen." This is a project that took about four years and a trip to New York to finish, and when I first started it, I had no idea how much it was going to become a part of my life and future.

I have always been an avid reader, ever since I was very young. I distinctly remember being obsessed with the entire series of "Goosebumps" books, and pretty much any book having to do with animals. I have also loved writing for as long as I can remember. This may be my first published novel, but I have been writing my whole life. In fact, I still have the first story I ever wrote when I was in kindergarten, an action-packed two page masterpiece--atrociously spelled, might I add--following a family of rabbits and the wolf that is stalking them. It has always been my way of taking a break from reality, as well as a highly effective from of stress release. Besides, you can go ANYWHERE in your writing, you have no boundaries! What other hobby can take you from the highest peaks of Everest to the jungles of Africa, to outter space, all in the same day?

Now, onto the book. There are so many fantasy books available out there, each one having something unique and special to offer. And I feel the same is true with this one. Readers will find characters to care about, mysteries to be answered, adventure, love, new languages, and, of course, magic. They will discover, along with the main character, that there are OtherWorlds with dark secrets and evil villains that have a direct and terrifying impact on unsuspecting humans everywhere.

I just hope that everyone who reads it can find something to enjoy, characters to love, or maybe just feel like they have been given a brief vacation from reality--which we all know, is a place that we just have to get a break form now and again! There have been so many books and authors who have inspired me and infused my life with something magical, and my greatest wish is that this can do the same for others, even if it's just one person. To me, that would be success.
