Witold Kolankowski

Witold Kolankowski, born in Latvia, is a citizen of the United Kingdom. He worked in Warsaw in 1991-94 during Poland's transition from Communism to Democracy. He is a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, and his consulting career sent him all over the world. His travels gave him new perspectives on people and cultures.

In 2004, Kolankowski was awarded The Order of Merit by the Republic of Poland for services to Polish Culture. His uncle Bronisław Sydow amassed the world's greatest collection of Frederic Chopin's correspondence and the composer's bibliography. Witold's passion for music has led him to write the only upcoming English book about Frederic Chopin's childhood and youth.
