Dr. Willie G. Stevens

Dr. Willie G. Stevens (1952 - )was born in Woodruff, SC to Rev Joe & Loree Stevens, grew up in Spartanburg County, SC with his sisters, Carol, Jean, Betty, and Dianne. He graduated from Woodruff High School & Wofford College. He has worked with students, teachers, administrators and parents for over 30 years. The Empowerment Modeling (EM) was developed from these experiences and years of research working with Dr. Larry Fields, an awesome mentor, Dr. Gwen Johnson, and Dr. James Seegars. After being introduced to the EM, violence was reduced or eliminated from these community setting and the achievement gap between the majority and the minority students were closed. He is married to Sharon Westberry, a loving and devoted helper, a wife of God-fearing character, a dedicated mother of our three children: Sharina, Lakisha, and Joseph. Dr. Stevens has two son-in-laws and one daughter-in-law, Rodney Lyles, Sr., Mischeal Goldsmith and Lola Carroll-Stevens. Dr. Stevens has four lovely granddaughters and three handsome grandsons. Dr. Stevens is the owner/director of Steve West Ltd., an educational consulting firm. Dr. Stevens is a member of Macedonia Worship Center where Apostle Sylvester Davis Johnson is Senior Pastor.
