Lisa Solis Delong

Lisa Solis DeLong RN is a national speaker, bereavement facilitator, author, ballroom dancer and mom. She speaks regularly to healthcare teams as part of Studer Group's Speakers Bureau. Her TEDx Talk, "Changing the Face of Death" can be seen on Youtube. Her memoir, BLOOD Brothers, was released in 2011 and is touching the hearts of thousands of readers and is required reading for nursing students. Her first born son, Justin, died at the age of 15 in 2000 after a ten year remission from leukemia. Her youngest son, Jacob, was also diagnosed with leukemia in 2006. He has completed treatments and is now a healthy teen! She lives in Southern California with her husband of 31 years, her surviving son and her dog Poochini. Her two adult daughters live creative lives in Oregon. Her family remains close and surprisingly sane. She writes about her new found perspectives on spirituality, living with fear, and regaining joy.
