Gary Cottrell lives in the United States. He was born in 1945 in Troy, Tennessee. He has lived his entire life in the southern United States which makes him a "Southerner," and he has to live with all the stereotypes that entails. He received an MA in English in 1972; however, he spent his working life in the business world. At the same time, he never forgot his love for writing. When he retired in 2009, he decided to give writing a try for real. In 2011, he published his first novel, "Time Ship," as a Kindle book. "Time Ship" was also made available in paperback in 2012. In 2013 he published "Experiencing CHRIST In Communion," a book of devotionals centered around the Lord's Supper. It is currently available for the Kindle and in paperback. In 2014 he rewrote his memoirs from Vietnam and published the book under the title "A Year in Vietnam." This book is also available for the Kindle and in paperback. Gary, his wife, and their mentally disabled adult son live in Lexington, South Carolina.
