Kevan M. Yenerall

Kevan M. Yenerall, Ph.D., is Professor of Political Science at Pennsylvania Western University at Clarion, where he teaches courses in American politics, popular culture, public policy, Pennsylvania government, and civic engagement. He is coauthor of Seeing the Bigger Picture: American and International Politics in Film and Popular Culture, second edition (Peter Lang, 2012), and has contributed chapters or essays to the following books: The 2020 Presidential Election: Key Issues and Regional Dynamics (Palgrave-Macmillan, 2022); American Political Humor: Masters of Satire and Their Impact on U.S. Policy and Culture (ABC-CLIO, 2019); Shakespeare and Politics: What a Sixteenth-Century Playwright Can Tell Us about Twenty-First-Century Politics (Paradigm, 2015); The Presidency of Bill Clinton: The Legacy of a New Domestic and Foreign Policy (I.B. Tauris, 2012); Debating the Presidency (Kendall/Hunt, 2009); The Encyclopedia of American Government and Civics (Facts-on-File, 2008); Executing the Constitution: Putting the President Back into the Constitution (SUNY Press, 2006); Debating the Issues: American Government & Politics (Kendall/Hunt, 2005); and Presidential Frontiers: Underexplored Issues in White House Politics (Praeger, 1998). His peer-reviewed articles have appeared in the journals White House Studies and International Politics. He serves as a board member of the Academic Seminars Advisory Group at the Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars (twc.edu) and was the founding chair of the Politics and Popular Culture section of the Northeastern Political Science Association (2006-2016).
